The north westerly face of Moel Siabod is grassy from the summit down to a plateau, before dropping off steeply to the Mymbyr Valley.

Getting to take-off:

Park near Plas y Brenin outdoor centre and walk past the buildings towards the river to the south. Cross the footbridge and follow the path up through the trees. When you leave the trees, continue upwards onto the spur leading to the summit. Take off from a suitable place.

Landing:

There is no negotiated landing so please either land on the plateau or, if bottom landing, avoid any livestock. When landing, be aware of a potentially different wind direction from that at takeoff.

The landowner near the Plas y Brenin centre dislikes paraglider pilots. If forced to land here, please be polite if confronted and leave as quickly as possible.
